A leadership development experience · England
A three-day residential leadership programme for people who need to think clearly under pressure
Change Your Life Leadership is a fully residential three-day experience. You spend it training your attention, getting to know how you work under pressure, and learning to read complex material faster and apply it to your day-to-day decisions. The work continues at home, with follow-up sessions and one-to-one mentoring.
The 3D Reading Method has been taught since 2016
After earlier editions in London, CYL Leadership now runs as a fully residential programme in England.
Follow-up sessions, web-classes and one-to-one mentorship continue after the residential days.
I’ve learned about how to keep calm, how to focus… how to be a good leader and planning for the future… see where my priorities are.”Ahsan M. · 2025
A question of fit
Who this is best suited to
This is designed for people who carry real responsibility, especially when the pressure is more mental than just operational. It may suit you if you are changing role or going through a transition, leading a team, building a business or trying to make more room for judgment in a demanding week.
You carry a high information load
You read, listen, review and decide across too many inputs.
You decide without enough thinking space
Your work asks for judgement, but your week leaves little room for it.
You're responsible for more than one role
You may also be the person your children or your parents rely on, and that is leadership too.
You want development without motivational theatre
You’re after practical work, not slogans or performance energy.
Not the right fit if
It is probably not the right fit if you are looking only for speed-reading, a conventional management course or a retreat without follow-up work.
What is Change Your Life Academy?
A method created in Italy, taught across Europe, now used in a UK residential programme
Change Your Life Academy started in Italy, where Filippo Rossi created the 3D Reading Method. The method helps people read demanding material with more structure, remember more of it and use it when it matters.
Since 2016, we have taught this method in six countries across Europe. Our UK leadership program is a residential course that gives you guidance before you arrive and support once you return home.
The founder
Filippo Rossi started his career in medicine at the University of Padua before moving into communication, training and business consultancy. He founded the 3D Reading Method and Change Your Life Academy based on the principle that the ability to absorb and apply knowledge can be developed.
The method, in practice
The tools you learn to use
Each tool is taught through practice and applied to your own work, decisions, and responsibilities.
“There’s a big emphasis on researching for yourself, and not just taking things at face value.”
Understand your own patterns
Notice how you react under pressure and what tends to drive that response.
Read and retain complex material
A structured way to approach a book or report faster, so you can identify what matters and use it afterwards.
Turn a goal into a workable plan
Define the goal, test the priorities behind it, and make the next steps visible.
Train attention under pressure
A short daily practice to hold your attention where you choose to place it.
Map your roles without being pulled apart
Look at competing demands and decide where your attention needs to go now.
Before, during and after
What happens if you join
The programme starts before the residential days and continues after you return home. Here’s how it works.
You receive three online preparation classes and a short set of preparation tasks, so the main ideas are familiar before you arrive.
You work with the tools in person, apply them to your own situation, and keep a logbook to take home.
Three follow-up sessions in the first month, so the work isn’t left behind once you’re back to your normal responsibilities.
You keep access to the portal, app, weekly web-classes and one-to-one mentorship.
In the room
The three residential days are the main in-person part of the programme. Here is what you'll be doing.
Over the three days, you will learn each tool and use it in your own work. You keep a logbook as you go, so the material does not stay in the room. By the end, you will have notes, exercises, and a plan for your first weeks back.
Observe how you work
You look at how you react under pressure and start a daily attention practice. You leave with a clearer read on your own habits.
Read, organise and plan
You use the 3D Reading Method and begin turning a goal into a workable plan. You leave with a strategy for handling complex material and a plan you can keep working on.
Put your learning into practice
You apply what you’ve learned to a substantial piece of reading and link the tools to your own roles and priorities. You leave with a practical plan for your first weeks after the programme.
Each taught day runs from around half past eight in the morning into the evening, followed by dinner together. There is time to talk afterwards, if you want to.
Glimpses from the room
Short, unedited clips filmed during the three days.
The venue
Three days away from daily noise
The programme is residential, so you’re not splitting your day between sessions, travel and your inbox. You stay on site, eat together and have space between sessions to think and read. The venue is in the English countryside, within reach of Gatwick and Heathrow. It is chosen for space, quiet and ease of focus rather than conference-hotel polish. Travel, parking, rooms and dietary information are all shared before you book.

Start with a conversation
Talk it through with us
A Programme Conversation is a practical call with a member of the team. You can ask about the structure, the residential days, the programme and whether it’s the right fit for you. After the call, we send a short written summary and the full outline, so you can decide in your own time.
- A straight conversation with a member of the team
- A short written summary afterwards
- You decide in your own time
The call is practical and low-pressure. You can ask questions, check the fit and decide afterwards.
