Culture and Education
Theory or Practice?
Today, we are living in a paradoxical situation:
For many years, education has been seen as the foundation of a solid future, a lesson learned from the post-war period.
Yet today, we realise that culture and knowledge are not exhausted within academic education.
Imagine if all young people were to undertake theoretical studies:
Who would perform practical jobs such as electricians, plumbers, or bricklayers?
These trades are essential, yet there is often a lack of well-trained professionals.
When a young person is not motivated by studying, we must understand why and help them develop their culture, also through practical and hands-on paths.
Culture is not only academic, but also the culture gained through competence, experience, and practical application.
